YANMAR PRESENTS FULL RANGE OF COMMERCIAL MARINE ENGINES AT NOR-SHIPPING 2019

Almere, 09 May 2019. YANMAR will be present at the upcoming Nor-Shipping show in Oslo from 4-7 June with its full range of commercial marine engines and a team of technical experts for detailed information and in-depth questions about the extensive and versatile range of marine engines. This year YANMAR Europe BV and the team of YANMAR Norge co-exhibit together with their Norwegian service partner Maritim Motor A/S on two adjacent stands (E04-38 and E04-36). A delegation from YANMAR Co. Ltd Japan will also be ready to meet you at the Japanese pavilion (B02-08).

YANMAR shows a wide variety of commercial marine diesel engines that cover the full power range and the latest developments in engine technology: medium speed, commercial high speed, light commercial marine engines and the D-Torque turbo diesel outboard engine for light-duty commercial applications. At the YANMAR stand in Hall E04-38, visitors see:

6AYEM

6AYEM common rail engine
This in-line turbocharged and charge air-cooled diesel engine features outstanding economy, power and reliability with super low emissions. Pre-heating is not required. The 6AYEM Series is available in ratings from 485 kW continuous to a maximum of 749 kW at 1,840 to 2,000 rpm. It offers high torque over the entire speed range, combined with low emissions, low noise and low smoke, all thanks to the careful design of the multi-point injectors and combustion chamber. The compact footprint guarantees effortless installation. Easy access to dials and maintenance items contributes to smooth and safe operation.

6CXBM mechanical engine
YANMAR’s high speed propulsion series will be represented by the 6CXBM super light duty engine. This 6-cylinder direct injection engine is available in output values from 265 kW to 294 kW and offers direct injection and heat exchanger cooling. Its design with 4 valves per cylinder and turbocharger/intercooler ensures a higher combustion efficiency. The CXB-series complies with IMO Tier II emissions regulations.

D-Torque turbo diesel outboard engine D-Torque
The D-Torque turbo diesel sets a new benchmark in diesel practice. The 800cc, 50hp double cylinder design offers unrivaled flexibility. It delivers a remarkable 111Nm at 2,500rpm; more than the best-performing 70-hp gasoline injection four-stroke gasoline outboard engines on the market today. The engine shows excellent fuel efficiency, on average less than 12 liters per hour with wide open gas. The Dtorque is the ideal choice for operating or managing work vessels, safety / rescue boats, fishing boats, government and port authority ships, passenger boats or super yacht tenders.

YANMAR Marine diesel engine range
YANMAR marine diesel engines are used worldwide in commercial ships, e.g. ocean-going vessels, workboats, offshore support boats, luxury yachts and many more. YANMAR’s marine engine range includes three major categories:
·         Medium-speed propulsion diesel engines (374 kW-4500 kW) known for their low fuel oil consumption with reduced NOx emissions and easy maintenance.
·         Auxiliary medium-speed engines (80 kWe-4600 kWe) widely used for diesel generator sets for generating stable electrical power at sea and in port.
·         High-speed commercial engines, compact and robust, (9 kW to 1340 kW) with high-power output and high combustion performance.

The range includes engines that comply with European emission standards and various IACS quality certifications (International Association of Classification Societies).

About YANMAR
With beginnings in Osaka, Japan, in 1912, YANMAR was the first ever to succeed in making a compact diesel engine of a practical size in 1933.
